Caleb Gichuhi is a specialist at PeaceTech Lab Africa, the Lab's Nairobi-based office. PeaceTech Lab works for individuals and communities affected by conflict, using technology, media, and data to accelerate local peacebuilding efforts. Headquartered at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), the Lab carries out its mission in close collaboration with public and private sector partners.
Caleb works with PeaceTech Lab Africa on Sawa Shabab plus other media and tech programs. Caleb has done extensive research on the use of various technologies for elections violence prevention, counter-messaging to promote peace, good governance, civic education & conflict mitigation. He has also previously worked with UNDP Sudan, Sisi Ni Amani- Kenya, UNHabitat, and TISA Kenya. Caleb has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology and is currently pursuing a professional course with the UNHabitat on Sustainable Change for Development.
