The Peacetech Summit is a day long event to explore the innovative ways technology, media and data are used to reduce violent conflict.
The National Academy of Engineering and the U.S. Institute of Peace co-hosted the inaugural PeaceTech Summit, entitled, “Engineering Durable Peace” on September 19, 2014. The event brought together government officials, entrepreneurs, technologists, and peacebuilders. Together, they provided an overview of current tech being used to improve peacebuilding. In addition, they identified opportunities for technology and innovators to do more to prevent and resolve conflict.
