PeaceTech Lab Community Manager.

PeaceTech Lab is looking for a full-time, energetic, mission-driven, and sociable Community Manager to operate our new location at the William Jefferson Clinton Center for Peace and Technology on the campus of the United States Institute of Peace. This position is the heartbeat of the Lab community, responsible for connecting members, building the Lab’s global reputation as the hub for peacetech, and creating a space that is warm, optimistic, energized, and innovative. Our headquarters is more than a workspace; it’s a community where members collaborate, learn, and create tech for social good. The Community Manager will actively support organizations through community initiatives, events, and sponsorships.

Your duties might include:

  • Customer service. Create an all-around impactful customer-journey experience for every single PeaceTech Lab Community member.

  • Management and growth. Train, develop, and grow the community management team.

  • Business development. Meet targets to bring in new startups and organizations to fill our space, maintaining occupancy levels at a minimum.

  • Building management. Ensure the smooth-running operations and maintenance of our space in the William Jefferson Clinton Center for Peace and Technology.

  • Procedure and policy creation. Build and improve upon procedures using targeted metrics and KPIs.

  • Events. Establish a strong local community by bringing in and assisting in creating event and building the Lab’s network for future events.

Required qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Hospitality or retail background

  • Experience in sales and event management

  • Highly skilled leader

  • Great verbal and written communication skills

  • Technically strong

  • Marketing savvy

  • Flexibility; willing to work overtime as needed

Preferred qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Experience meeting designated targets and quotas in a business development setting

  • 3+ years working in business development and organizational growth

  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably ZoHo
