Executive Business Intern
PeaceTech Lab supports programs all over the world, working with some of the most recognizable brands. Our Executive Business (EB) Intern will report directly to the CEO and the Director of Acceleration and Operational Excellence at the Lab. The intern will get hands-on exposure into the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit tech startup from both the operational and the fundraising and business development sides.

As the EB Intern, your duties might include:
Doing research on donors, prospects, and foundations that want to be involved in the work of building peace through technology. Also keeping tabs on the tech industry and staying up-to-date on tech trends.
Using technology to track and manage donors, prospects, and contact databases.
Working with the CEO on op-ed pieces and other writing projects.
Writing draft proposals and keeping a running list of grant opportunities.
Building budgets and streamlining operational processes.
Planning and organizing logistics for events.
Dates: Mid-May to late-August, 2019 (exact dates flexible depending on candidate’s schedule). This is a paid position.
Desired Qualifications: We’re looking for outstanding Master's students from any discipline with an interest in media, science, technology, or peacebuilding and relevant skills in business development. Successful applicants will possess a good understanding of media and technology and their role in the conflict resolution, development, and humanitarian sectors; excellent research, writing (in English), and critical thinking skills; attention to detail, creativity, good inter-personal skills, and the ability to work well with a team in time-crunch situations. Strong writing skills are a must. Applicants must have a working knowledge of software applications such as MS Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of content management systems is preferred.
