Operations internship

Compensation: Course credit or $13.25 per hour worked.

Work Schedule: Part-time, 10 - 20 hours per week

Dates: January to May 2019 with possibility of extension. Exact start and end dates will be determined based on candidate’s availability.

Location: 2301 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20037

Duties and Responsibilities: Intern will team closely with Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager to document the administrative, financial, and contract systems in place at PeaceTech Lab. Intern will assist in identifying and organizing relationships between and among operational workflows to find opportunities for overall business improvement and efficiency. Intern will work with larger operations team to assist in the creation of SOP manuals and policies for administrative, financial, and contract systems.

Desired Qualifications: Applicants must be current Master’s students in business, business administration, project management, or a related field. Standout applicants will be fluent in Microsoft Visio, Powerpoint, or similar visualization platforms and have experience in administrative, financial, or contracts processes. Candidates should have excellent research, writing (in English), critical thinking, and editing skills, take initiative and be a contributing member of the team, and possess keen attention to detail and good interpersonal skills. An interest in the role media, data, and technology play in peacebuilding is also a plus.
