Assistant Operations Manager

Terrance Stevenson is the Assistant Operations Manager at PeaceTech Lab. PeaceTech Lab works to reduce violent conflict using technology, media, and data to accelerate and scale peacebuilding efforts. In his role, Terrance supports the financial management and daily operations of the Lab.

Terrance comes to PeaceTech Lab from Peace Corps’ Headquarters, where he worked as a Financial Management Specialist for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. While there, he supported the agency’s financial operations team as a liaison between the Office of Global Accounts Payable and various government partners at the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In addition to this, he oversaw and maintained the agency’s revenue databases and trained overseas operations teams in Peace Corps’ Inter-America and Pacific Island and Europe, Mediterranean and Asia regions on federal financial management policy and procedures.

Prior to work at Peace Corps HQ, Terrance lived and studied in Taiwan as a recipient of a Taiwanese Government language scholarship. His love for learning the nuances of cultures through language study began while he was a Peace Corps Volunteer, living and working as an English teacher in southern Armenia. Seeing the past and present conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the impact it had on his Armenian host-families, students and friends propelled his interest in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

Terrance received his BA in International Studies from the University of Memphis and is currently completing his MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at American University’s School of International Service.
